New Directions Early Learning Center is a cooperative venture between the Early Learning Centers and the Lubbock Independent School District to care for the children of teen parents and staff members who have legal guardianship at Lubbock ISD and located in the Dupree building.
The center is licensed for 76 children ages birth to five years old. The center operates on a schedule identical to the Lubbock ISD school calendar and is open to Lubbock ISD students and staff who have children. Lubbock ISD students may choose to have their child attend New Directions ELC, at a greatly reduced rate, while they attend Matthews, Monterey, Coronado, Lubbock, Estacado High School, or any Lubbock ISD Jr. High.
