Board of Directors

At the Early Learning Centers of Lubbock, we believe in full transparency. This page is dedicated to sharing with you a little bit more about our board members.

Dr. Jerry S. Findley, Ed. D

Dr. Jerry Findley decided to serve on our board because he thought it would be a great way to serve the community and in a small way, help with the forming of a great foundation for a child. He also believes our mission is important because ELC plays a vital role in, not only a parent(s) being able to get to work and/or keep a job, but also offers a child a great foundation as they transition to public schools. Dr. Jerry Findley serves on several boards with Lubbock ISD, LEDA, and more.

Raquel Gonzales

Treasurer

Raquel serves on the ELC Board because she believes in being a part of an organization whose focus is to provide a safe and sustainable environment for our community’s newest and youngest to learn and grow so they are prepared for a successful future. Raquel serves the community in many ways, including serving on a number of boards and committees in her community. In her freetime, Raquel enjoys Reddit conspiracy theory rabbit holes and working on her family history!

Rudy McElroy

President

Rudy has two daughters of his own and knows how important early childhood education is. Rudy wanted to get involved and serve Lubbock in an area of need. He believes early childcare can affect the future of young minds. While Rudy isn’t working, he enjoys fly fishing and BBQing!

Laura Riley

Secretary

Laura Riley serves on the board to help improve the ELC organization for the children, parents and employees. She has seen first-hand how reading, play, and education impact younger children in their early years and wants to be able to provide resources to parents so they can set their children up for successful futures. Laura loves giving back to the community through Meals on Wheels, Lubbock Impact, and through volunteer opportunities with her employer. Laura and her family love to travel all over the world!

Aubrey Stutler

Aubrey wanted to volunteer her time and talents to ELC and to help make early childhood education available to more children in need. She believes early childhood education is one of the most significant foundations in the development of a child’s future. Aubrey serves on many boards and volunteers through many organizations to help the Lubbock community. Aubrey loves to spend time with her husband, son and her two dogs, doing anything that involves being outside, traveling or Texas Tech Athletics!

Cherry Porter

Cherry believes ELC’s mission is important because we provide the foundation of which child builds their educational future. She has a passion for children and sees ELC provides the instrumental care for their development, which prepares them with knowledge and skills they can use as they continue to navigate through life. Brittany gives back to the community in anyway she and her family can. She uses the volunteer opportunities to show her children how our intentional efforts to serve the community go much further than we all realize.
