Employment:
We consider ourselves fortunate to have the opportunity each
day to make a positive difference in the lives of young children. From
peek-a-boo to sounding out words and belly laughs to boo boo's, there are
infinite opportunities to make a difference each and every day.
Qualified teacher assistant applicants must have a
minimum of a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old and
have a clean criminal history (we do both name checks and FBI fingerprint
checks.) Qualified lead teacher's will have the same basic qualifications
except they must have at least 64 hours of college, or better, in a related
field.
In addition to not working nights or weekends ELC offers our
Educators (full time and part time) paid vacation time, sick leave, personal
leave and holidays! Educators on the ELC team also receive discounted
childcare fees for their own children to attend while they are at work.
Full time positions are also eligible for health, dental and life insurance as
well as a 401K plan.

Affirmative Action Plan
Reaffirmation of Policies Concerning Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action
The Board of Directors and Administrative Staff of the Early Learning Centers (ELC) reaffirm the agency’s equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies
Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
ELC will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, physical or mental disability,
or covered veterans. ELC will take affirmative action to insure that applicants are employed without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, physical or mental disability. Such action shall include but not be limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination, rate of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training.
ELC will administer an affirmative action program with realistic, results oriented procedures, which will insure those conditions of recruitment, compensation, and advancement are consistent, fair and equitable for all persons. A commitment is hereby made to implement employment practices that will further the principles of the affirmative action program and ultimately of the employment process. Furthermore, all levels of supervisory personnel will be expected to assume the responsibility for carefully analyzing their respective employment practices to insure the agency’s compliance with the affirmative action program. |
